The Australian Rally Championship has signed up East Coast Bullbars for a further two years as a major corporate partner.

Corporate involvement in the ARC from East Coast Bullbars has been stepped up since the company first became involved in domestic rallying’s top class in 2011.

The company increased its association with the ARC in 2012 by stepping up to become a major backer after initially backing the SUV component of the series.

East Coast Bullbars, which has been running since 1972, says essence of the Australian Rally Championship helps to convey its product values to both a national and global audience.

“The Australian Rally Championship and East Coast Bullbars are both Australian icons and brands with a rich history,” Paul Torrisi, ECB general manager of sales and operations, said.

“We feel the synergy between our business, and the values we represent, is the perfect fit with the Australian Rally Championship.”

ARC chairman Ben Rainsford said the Championship was able to provide ECB with the platform to leverage its brand and products.

The final round of the 2013 season is run this weekend at Rally Victoria.

Honda gun Eli Evans wrapped up the driver’s championship at the Coates Hire Rally Australia round in September however the fight for manufacturer honours remains unresolved.

The Renault Sport Rally Team, spearheaded by Scott Pedder/Dale Moscatt and Tom Wilde/Bill Hayes, is hoping the pair of Clio R3s can snatch the crown from Honda.

Renault goes into the final round on 102 points, 19 shy of Honda.
